Our Behavior Plan I believe that no student has the right to keep another student from learning and to make sure your child receives the best education possible; I will be implementing the following plan. My approach to classroom discipline is very simple: keep students very busy and engaged in meaningful learning activities and inappropriate behavior is not usually a problem. When or if inappropriate behavior and/or lack of cooperation continuously becomes a problem, my approach is also simple……contact his/her parents immediately.Classroom RulesIf all students follow these rules, this plan will provide your child with the best learning experience and a very successful school yearThese are the rules we will follow this year to learn, play, and have fun. 1. Listen quietly while others are speaking 2. Follow directions quickly the first time they are given 3. Raise your hand for permission to speak or leave your seat 4. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself 5. Respect yourself, others, and our school 6. Stay on task and finish your work on time Consequences First time: Warning-Name on the board Second time: Lose a point on Bloomz Third time: Lose a point on Bloomz , Silent lunch ,and Parent contact Fourth time: Lose a point on Bloomz and Counselor referral Fifth time: Lose a point on Bloomz, Discipline referral and principal's office
Each student begins the week on Monday with 100 points in their Class Bloomz account. Students are able to earn points for positive behaviors and they lose points for failing to follow the classroom rules. A student must have 100 points by Friday to obtain a 100/A+ in conduct. At the end of the nine weeks, students will have nine weekly conduct grades will be averaged to determine the conduct grade that appears on their report card. Severe clause:Students, who choose to curse , fight, destroy property, or display extreme disruptive behavior, will immediately be sent to the principal’s office for disciplinary action.Refusal to follow Covid rules will be sent to the principal’s office for disciplinary action Reward: Praise Covid rules: 1. Social Distance / Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself 2. Wear your mask 3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat 4. Wash your hands
